    These are one of my favorite tomatoes to grow! I purchased them last year and started them from seeds for the 1st time. I usually purchase the plant from our local greenhouse but figured I’d try starting them myself and test out my green thumb. Let’s just say I have lots of things I could improve on for this year! So I am glad this company offers this type of tomato seed. I did get a few plants to grow last year and loved the little harvest I got from them. Excited to try them again this year and change how I did a few things so I can have more plants this year!

    I've grown 'Dakota Tears' for three years in a comparison against a few other varieties. The variety was among the larger-sized; only one hybrid called 'Sedona' was consistently huger. I don't have any complaints about 'Dakota Tears'. It's as advertised. It doesn't keep as long as red shallots, but pretty close. Because it's open pollinated, the seeds cost a bit less than hybrids, and it should be possible to save seed for planting, though I haven't done so yet given it's more convenient to order more from the Podolls.

    My order arrived quickly and well packaged. The seed packets are nice and have all the planting instructions and info needed. It's my first order from the company, and it's not quite time to begin germination in my area yet, but I am pleased so far.
