CERTIFIED ORGANIC 1 packet (25 seeds)
Capsicum annuum (55 green; 75-80 ripe) Various cultivars were allowed to freely cross to make up this medley of red, orange, yellow, and chocolate peppers. Start out green, taste best when they reach full size, and ripen to a rainbow of colors.
Start in shallow flats, planting 1/4″ deep about 8 weeks prior to transplanting. Pepper seeds germinate slowly in cooler soil; if possible, maintain soil temperatures 80-90°F. When the first true leaves appear, transplant seedlings into 2″ cells or 4″ pots. Keep warm at room temperature (about 70°F) by day and cooler (about 60°F) at night. Transplant after danger of frost when the soil is warm and weather is steady. Plant 12-18″ apart in rows 24-36″ between.
