Phaseolus vulgaris White Rice bush beans are an heirloom dry bean favorite, resembling rice, obviously. Their small size, slightly larger than a grain of rice, make them quick cooking and easy to use. Also doubles as a tasty, tender green snap bean; just pick it early, as you would any snap bean. Harvest green snap beans in about 55 days and dry beans at 85 days when fully mature. These prolific plants keep setting blooms throughout the growing season, allowing you to harvest green beans for fresh eating as you harvest dry beans! Versatile abundance! Note: For reference, front picture is a tablespoon.

Growing Notes
Direct-seeding is recommended. Planting Depth: 1 inch. Plant spacing: 2 inches. Row spacing of 36-48 inches. Increase yields by inoculating where natural Rhizobia is low. Soil Temp. for Germ.: 60-80°F. Days to Germ.: 6-10 days. Full sun. Moderate moisture.

  • We are able to ship seeds to addresses within the United States and its territories and to addresses within Canada.
  • Shipping rates will be calculated through the USPS Postal Service.
  • North Dakota and Minnesota customers will be charged sales tax.
  • Our standard order turnaround time is 1 business day from the date of your order. If you need expedited shipping, please call us to place your order.
EXPEDITED SHIPPING                            We can arrange to ship U.S. orders via 2-day shipping. Charges for orders sent with expedited shipping will be based on actual freight charges. Please call us at 701-883-4416 for a quote. Most orders placed before 11:00 a.m. CST will ship the same day. You will receive tracking info for the shipment via email. TRACKING YOUR ORDER  When you check out, if you provide us with an email address we will send you an email when your package is mailed. That email will include a tracking number so you can track its delivery.  On the day of delivery you will receive an email stating your package has been delivered. If you do not receive your package, please notify us within 30-days and follow-up with your local post office and carrier.  They scan every package at the delivery point and most scanners have a GPS tracker, so they can tell where they were when they scanned the package. Please help us help you by contacting us as soon as anything goes wrong, so we can help find your package and get it to you ASAP! We want you to be 100% happy with the seed that you buy from us. *If any seed you buy from Prairie Road proves to be unsatisfactory, we will either replace the item or refund the purchase price, whichever you prefer. In keeping with the custom of the seed trade, Prairie Road Organic Seeds shall not be liable for more than the purchase price of the seed. Prairie Road Organic Seeds does not cover return shipping costs. All special orders are non-refundable. REFUNDS We will notify you once we’ve received your request, and let you know when your refund is approved. You’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
